Immigrant Song - When Your Singer Cancels Last Minute:

A couple of years back, our band was doing Immigrant Song on a regular basis. One night, the vocalist canceled at the last minute, so I had to take over lead vocals. Knowing I had to get through a 45 song set, I decided to sing in a lower register to try and preserve my voice.

My drummer and I decided to record a version of this song ourselves, based on the live performance.

Session player and friend Ffej Rednil is handling drums and bass on this track. I am playing guitar and performing all vocals.

If you listen closely, you can hear me singing a high register harmony over my low register lead vocal.

You know, its so strange...in my previous band, I LOVED the music, but the bandmembers were always at odds with each other.

We had two attempted mutinies, where two members (at different times) tried to take over the band, a bass player and guitarist who nearly went to blows every rehearsal and 3 lineup changes in 2 years.

The band i am in now is like a family. Every rehearsal is a pot luck feast, everyone gets along, but I'm bored by the music.

WTF???
