Whats a guitar outside of your normal flavor that you'd love to have?

I have played my acoustic (budget Yamaha FG700S) more lately, but for the first time noticed the tone was pretty dull last weekend before I hurt my neck.
The strings are a bit discolored, and checking the package from the last string change, was almost 4 years ago.

Have it by my bench for string change this weekend.

Lol id hate to see the age of the strings on the Samick and Yahama I have. Barbwire at this point

For sure, Gball. I believe the last clip was from R30.
Here is one last clip,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, One of my favorites of all they ever did.
Alex and Ged at their finest, a SLOW Jam.

To me, Permanent Waves is like the Bastard Stepchild to Moving Pictures if history/ concerts etc all place it when speaking of Rush albums, BUT to me It is one of their greatest, just like Caress of Steel

SO< I LIED LIED LIED. I can't ever stop listening to RUSH.

Funny. I own an acoustic and still don't like them. I string it with electric strings to make it a little bit easier to deal with but still just not my jam.

A couple of years ago I went “I can’t remember the last time I played my Takamine acoustic 12 string”. I finally pulled it out of the closet and out of the case. Boy it needed a string change. When I change strings, I put the old set back in the case with the date of the change. This is what I found in the 12 string case:run:. It had been a while since I last played it.

I keep adding comments and forgetting the other " guitar" that is outside my zone that I would maybe like to have one day,
I say " guitar" because it only has 4 strings.

I get that completely. I didn't start fetishizing them until I stopped playing in a band/performing. At that time they were just tools and they really took a beating, so I didn't get too worked up over them. Now they sit there for me to stare at so they are like art and I lust for more.

Dude, I can understand that. I try to take really good care of my stuff, despite daily use. I was on my way to a performance last Saturday and I saw a street vendor selling flowers. I stopped and bought some for my wife. When I opened the passenger side door to put the flowers in, the Jackson (in its unpadded bag) was laying up against the door...it rolled out and hit the street headstock first.

I got a sick feeling from that. I opened the bag and the only thing it did was broke the high 'e' tuner off the guitar. What a relief!!!

I bought a set of used Jackson tuners on Ebay for $21.00 and I'm back in action...

One of the studios I work for has a Geddy Lee signature Fender bass. It is the twangiest bass i have ever played and the nut width is as narrow as a guitar.

Not a fan...
