MY UK BROTHER RAMO

Great job mitch! As Session said, really smooth. Tremolo picking and gallops are not easy. Trick is to keep your picking/strumming hand relaxed. its kinda natural instinct to want to tense up and literally flex while doing it but you definitely wear your arm out faster doing that. if you are getting into faster stuff, recommend just tuning to drop D, setting up a metronome and set up a beat slightly faster than what you are used to playing and just chug that open E/D string, just practice keeping relaxed.

But you did a really good job on this one!
I thank you for the compliment brother.
But it is a piece that Ramo sent me that I tried to match up with..

That V is bad ass but I am in no position to purchase anything at this point..
Im on a gear embargo until we find somewhere slightly bigger to live. Ran outta space here on our first home and honestly, dont feel like building onto the house with the neighbors I have lol finding somewhere else has been almost a 3 year search now with empty results. So, ive been kinda scrimping to save up on a good down payment or enough to get a decent loan and use it to make improvements on another home

What V do you have ??

Its based off of his gibson which he HEAVILY modified, i think it started life as a 1958 custom, then he changed out the pickups to the EMG active 57-66, then removed all but the volume knob, put a massive pickguard on it, relocated the cable jack to the upper wing, and put a 1000 series floyd rose on it to top it all off.

For all intents and purposes my V is a heavily modified straight out the gate :P

That V is screaming for vengeance :dood:

Hey U Metal Heads,,,,,,,,,,

How do you guys think a V with an EMG H in the neck and an 81 in the bridge will sound?

I'm assuming the H is the single coil in a humbucker sized pickup correct? Honestly im not sure...i haven't seen anyone run that particular setup before. however, i think it would be pretty much a hotter version of what some of the 80's shredder guitars had. Seymour duncan humbucker in the bridge and single coil in the neck.
