It's funny, I bought that album right after it was released in '81. I was cruising around with a couple of friends in one's '67 Camaro and smoking a bunch of herb, we decided to stop at the record store. One bought Get The Knack, and another bought Combat Rock by the Clash. I had No Sleep 'til Hammersmith. They said "Why are you buying that? They're not popular." My response was "they fvcking rock, that's why."

Was happy that I got to see them at both Hammersmith and Brixton Academy. Always wanted to see them in Germany because that's where "The Bomber" is stored, and used for shows.

Had tickets for Nov. 27, 2015 but Phil Campbell fell ill, and was in the hospital. I couldn't get back to Berlin for the rescheduled show. It was their last.

That is a great album story! Lol

One of my biggest regrets ever is not getting to see Motorhead. I kick myself in the ass for that one. But i also failed to go see Rush. Both great bands gone forever and i blew it. But i went thru a crazy assed Planes, Trains and Automobiles style journey to see Black Sabbath before they retired lol

I was just talking about All The World's A Stage on another post! Amazing album that grabbed me when i was young and introduced me to Rush

Rush was the only show where I was almost crushed to death trying to get in the door!

I had no idea how popular they were. I got there early and was very close to the front
of the line. They opened the set of outer doors and everyone surged forward. Bad thing
was they never got the second set of doors open!

I was being carried back and forth in the crowd surge with my feet off the ground!
We were packed so tight a few people ran on our heads and shoulders to the front
and dropped in once the doors were open!

Great show after all that though...and to think I went just to hear "The Trees"!

I never heard of these guys but as i was listening to them here, kinda reminded me of more moderately paced Ramones. Was looking them up on Wikipedia and coincidentally enough, their frontman John Felice was a roadie for The Ramones!

He also played with Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers with Jerry Harrison who went on to play with the Talking Heads. Joan Jett covered their song Roadrunner. Richman was in the movie Something About Mary.

No kidding? Yeah hes the dude always playing with the drummer on the sidewalk right? He was in Kingpin too in the hick dinner playing, right before Randy Quaid nearly gets his ass kicked by Roger Clemens lol
