When I Break a String:

Had these Ernie Ball Cobalt 009x046 Hybrids on my Les Paul Custom for 3 months, until I broke the high 'e' today during a recording session.

More proof that the roller bridge's gentle radii is easier on the strings....

Pick dust. Oh my. You do assault those strings. I tend to not be as aggressive, so tend to not break strings while playing.

Weirdest string break I’ve had was on my 12 string. Playing a different guitar one day and I heard a “twang” from inside the closet. Opened the 12 string case and yep.... broke a string inside the case.

There was one type of Dunlop pick that I used at one point that shredded like that. They were purple, and left all kinds of purple dust down in the pickup cavity of one of the guitars that had uncovered pickups.

I haven't broken a string in so long I barely remember what it feels like.
