The Muse I Adorn

Today's muse is a JTM45 thingy. The Orange TH30, working on clean parts for next song..sounds fantastic ..clean. I kept thinking it reminded me of something. Pretty musch had all the amps on with it to compare last few days. Nothing in common with fender, mesa.(thats good to me)

Went out in hall & grabbed the 45. On the 1960bx cab & TH30 on HP8.. was able to get them so darn close.,or i mean get the TH to the 45 now i know why the instant bond happened on the clean..its that darker but nice 45 clean & then push it a hair..its all things good from way back.. they got the Th30 right both channels.

Been picking apart my playing, and starting with a Fender due to it’s slightly longer scale. Been also playing the Martin for the same reason. Then moving on to Gibsons or home builds for writing, jamming, playing around with toys.

The past few days have been the the Burgundy Mist Strat and a Les Paul.

And because today is Tele Tuesday, I’m playing my Broadcaster build. I also have the '61 Les Paul Reissue out for later.

I decided to get out my hated-- ridiculed-BOLT NECK --Norlin (ugh -- egaads) era SONEX 180 (DELUXE) ...the one with the (refered to by snobs) "Velvet Brick" pickups ....and the UGLY huge "stupid" pick guard ...................
and plugged it STRAIGHT into the FENDER BASSBREAKER.................and Ive spent the last hour and a half GRINNING From ear to ear ...wailing on this rig .......and enjoying the living CRAP outta the tone Im getting from "cheap" gear......
sonex 160-deluxe.jpg

its 100% bone stock......(real VINTAGE GIBSON-- cost less than MOST new Epiphones) weights a metric crap ton .....has a FAT ARSE BASEBALL BAT NECK (which I originally HATED--- but have grown to love!) and I FORCED myself to play it -- had to wear an arm BRACE for the first 6 months and my left hand ACHED after every practice---- however the damn TONE that comes from this thing --is beyond mind boggling.........

finding baseball bat necks very comfortable in chord work..my melody maker has a round 59 profile & the neck is neavy & body light..but a very loud sound guitar acoustically & it really pops in an amp. The neck is def round & full..it actucally requested me to find a Rockerveb 50 mk1 with 6v6 tubes.. to fill the last amp spot left to go on top the DC5 on half back cab
