Bro Gball, Thanks for playing along with me in all the threads today,
My dear fiancee has seen me acquire and try to play any number of my guitars and basses. When I almost was going to sell this one to DonO to pay some property taxes I accidentally let slip into some lost mail, she said, " I think that is your favorite"
Well, it is one of them. But, I asked her again the other night, which she thought I liked best. She said in her usual way, I dunno.
I think my answer to her was that I pretty much like em all about the same. I mean, when we think of our guitars not as tools like Robert Herndon does. We think of em like art or our dog or children if we have more than 1. Parents are supposed to love all their children the same, right?
So, in my case, I guess I truly do love my Black 3 knob SG the same as my Classic, or my Epi LP, or my Squier Tele, or my Steve Harris P bass, or my 2 Am Std Strats etc etc. Each one is capable of beautiful music.
Now, if we were to compare beauty of how the guitars appear. ( Something like an RVA PRS finish) type question, I would say the nod goes to my Steve Harris P Bass, my 76 SG Std, the ES 135 and maybe my honey burst EPI LP last.
All my other BABIES, are of the plain JANE get the job done and feels great while doing so type.
How else can one better describe a Faded Walnut SG, White and Black P bass, Black Strats, Black Jazz, Black SG, and all those 1/2 Ton Chevy/Ford pickup trucks of the guitar playing world?
