" This ladies and gentlemen, is the wild primordial species of guitarist known as the Uptighticus Rectumus aka The CEO Collector. Observe his natural environment, where all his axes remain in pristine condition, never knowing human hands upon their bodies. The Uptighticus Rectumus can collect as many as SIX guitars per year in its diet, all costing as much as a small economy sized automobile.

Meanwhile the more common species of guitarist, the abundant Brokeassisus AverageJoecopicus, tends to use their finely acquired axes in a more conventional, daily setting. It is here that we discover that the elusive concepts of "tone" and "music" are actually created in the wild, untamed hands of the Brokeassisus AverageJoeCopicus, while the sleeker Uptighticus Rectumus chooses to very lackadaisically stare at his acquired axes and tell their fellow species about the quote " Investment" they behold!

Have @Sp8ctre send you pics of my 1987 squire. Gigged daily for over 30 years and not a single dent or chip in it. Other than the finish being worn away in a few places, I never knock my guitars around and I thrown them around my head regularly...

Buckle Rash...I have always thrown a piece of black duct tape over rivets and buttons...I put my belt buckle over my left hip when performing...

Believe me. I don’t throw mine around. Pretty darn careful actually. Anal almost..... but sometimes crap happens. Was not happy when it did. Still not happy. But more or less got over it and moved on.

Ive taken great care of all my guitars but they get the small dings and pings. As good as my intentions are, things happen. I hate it but its like having a car you drive daily: it comes with the territory. Nothing has any gashes , big scratches or huge chunks missing but blemishes are present on almost all at this point. Such is life

I get mine into the case ASAP. After a performance, I case-up everyone's guitars, just to keep them safe. Its a very old habit I suppose...

I don't see what the big deal is with 11 guitars. It's whats not in the photo has my curiosity. I see a 18 watt Marshall and a brown face Fender amp.
Look's like good old American made guitars not Asia Pacific.

It's not a big deal really, just super foreign to me. A guitar - to me - is something I need to make money...like a carpenter's hammer.

The Ovation lives in its case when I’m not playing it. Not as protective of the electrics.... with the exception of the Strat. Strat was purchase new. The others bought used at decent a decent price.

After finally fixing my garage roof today, and then sorting the contents (motorcycles, tools, snowblower, etc.), I am finally starting on the daunting task to clean up my cellar. Just dragged down a fresh trash bag and bought a new pack of bankers boxes to go through old boxes of junk. Need to finish up on organizing everything, completing the benches, shelving, and storage on the other side of the cellar. Then, I can finally get back to the stack of guitar builds that I'm lost in the middle of. Maybe sneak in another amp too. And be able to kick back, relax, and play my guitars.
