So, in the spirit of, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing,” I’ve come to a realization while thinking through how to do this. I’ll have to build a new cabinet. The original amp cabinet is just thin particle board and I’d likely have to shave some panels to allow for the extra thickness of the red shag fabric.
So, since I’d probably have to do some physical mods anyway, and since I already have some 3/4 inch plywood, I’ll just build a new cabinet for the little beastie, specifically for its new red coat!
