Lol something like this then?

LOL!!!!!

This is my "Swiss Army Knife." I play with the settings generally unchanged, no matter what we do. If its rock, or pop, f**k it...I use what I got and they get my tone regardless of the song. We put our own stamp on everything we do...

The ONLY time I have gone out a bought a pedal for a particular role was when I recorded a cover of "All Along the Watchtower" in 2018.

I'm not smart enough to manage any more gear than this....

I havent played live in at least a decade, but im not tech savvy in the sense of a lot of pedals and maintaining lots of settings, myself. I used to just go guitar/cable/maybe a wah/amp and still do on a lot of things. What fx i have used over the years, i always kept it confined to a processor like a Line 6 POD X3 Live and even there, i tried to keep it simple ( an overdrive, noise gate, wah and compressor, sometimes an eq to fine tune the sound)

I have been dabbling in a few actual pedals lately, just an overdrive and wah but i would like to add a noise gate and EQ to that as well. Pretty simple, front load signal chain.

Like i said, im not smart enough to lay out a sophisticated setup lol

I have 4 different pedals
SD1
Joyo
MXR10 band eq
Crybaby
The crybaby was repaired by my buddy Robert also a fine member here.
And for anything else I use the Vox Tone Lab which has a smorgasbord of FX, and tone shaping tools.
Cheers
Mitch
With you exactly on this! I use the Line 6 X3 live for the same reason and can pick and choose fx's or even amp modeling, which i really dont use much of cause I like the Marshalls sounds as they are ( though occasionally i will dabble with them and go directly into the FX return only, using the pedal as a preamp and the Marshall as a power amp). For the most part, its just a front end boosted line with an OD

Me neither. Every pedal on my board is a component of my tone. If you really look at my board, it's super simple...

I got the parts to mod the JOYO Ultimate Drive pedal and was gonna do a before and after video last night. HOWEVER! The site from where i got the schematic and mod info, made 2 massive mistakes in changing out two capacitors ( incorrect size and incorrect spotts)and so....my pedal is dead right now lol

Its nothing major, but i had to order two more capacitors and will have to change them once again, which wont be until thursday at least.

Anyways, i just threw a quick clip together of how the pedal normally sounds into a clean signal. First sound clip, clean bypass. Second sound clip is the gain at about 25%, level at 50% tone at 100%. Third sound clip is gain at 50%, level at 75% and tone at 100%. Final sound clip is everything at 100%.

Its really a great pedal as it is and hopefully this OCD mod doesnt ruin it lol

( and i just threw a few songs out at the top of my head, sorry for any mistakes)

The Joyo Uzi sounds just like my Friedman BE-OD, the one channel version.

It doesn't sound close, it sounds just like the BE.

Turns my humble Marshall Origin into a Freidman fire breather!
What?!

So what you're saying is that I need to get my hands on an uzi too?

My BE has seemingly been getting noisier than it once was. Not sure if I got some dirt or dust or some such crud found it's way in or something...

Might take a can of air and blow out your inputs. Worse for worse, open it up and spray air and some contact cleaner in there. Dust finds it way like a magnet in pedals, i guess where they are on the floor most of the time

To my worn out old ears, it's the same- same.

Plus, the Uzi has cool lighting lol.

Really is worth checking into being that $49.995 vs. $199.95....................................

Been thinking about doing exactly this, just been procrastinating on it lol

Yeah no kidding....does it come in a 2 channel version like the BE does? I was thinking of upgrading to the 2 ch BE at some point, but if the uzi can do the same thing for that much less....I should hunt one down.

...still, I have bad GAS for an actual Friedman BE100...someday lol

Only one channel, but even if you were to buy two, still way ahead $ wise.

And don't forget the cool ground effect lighting lol.
