I ride my bicycle...

just got a new roof - well, semi-roof

Due to the open back wheel it is pretty slow; i am usually going at ~30 km/h. My top speed downhill is currently 73 km/h. Something i should also be able to reach on my old race bikes. But anyway, driving the egg is fun, and it is even more fun since my buttocks won't hurt.

Ya, buddy - there ya go. Must be a blast to cruise in, man...

due to its open back wheel that one is slower than a race bike.

BTW: that was the 73 km/h hill (which i rode qute often with the race bike in my younger days, first uphill (11%))

And that - closely nearby - were 67 km/h through the wineyards and 13.5 km/h upwards the same hill when i went home from work in the evening....

Man, that's some peddling. You must have been in great shape with some strong legs.

Since im off road ive been cycling everywhere, my bike needs service so bad tho. I cant do it myself dont know how to fix gears, needs new brakes too. We were cycling to my boys rugby practice and on the way back my boy stoped in front of me i was not looking and when i saw him i brake back one didnt slow it down i use front and it flip over the bars and im all bruised/scratched up.
I want my car back :)))

You're not too far from where I always stay when I'm in Germany. I have family in Mainz-Bretzenheim and Mainz-Finthen. I usually stay in the Altstadt, or in the Hunsrück with other family. I used to live near Bad Kreuznach.

Well, just some work on the Go-One's roof and some color to the (preliminary) tail. Now the roof is almost ready for the new glass it urgently needs.

Meanwhile i can offer 81 kph on that downhill (and 83 somewhere else). I stopped pedalling at 50, because i actually did not want to go that fast ;-)

I’ve been staying near this place this week. Perhaps you are familiar with them.

I'm not. But that looks like a good adress. How dod You enjoy the stay?
BTW: that velomobile seems to be a very rare oldie.

A propos velomobile ... may i introduce my Bassomobile?

EDIT: i bought that one to ride to the rehearsals of my acoustic band. 16km one way. And i can carry a 2nd person if i need to.
