Wondering if anyone has used or is using a resomax bridge? If so did you have a good experience, bad experience, would you recommend it, etc ?
I'm looking at the Resomax NV2 with string savers to use on an sg with a bigsby.

Breaking strings at the bridge?
If it was a Bigsby I would use a roller bridge.
Here's the NV2, but may not be the ideal thing for a Bigsby.

The resomax is pretty good, it's Gotoh in reality... I bought one from Sweetwater 3 easy payments. No, not breaking strings. I ordered a Tonepros roller bridge for it and when I opened the package one of the rollers and it's little axle feel out of the bridge/package - pretty small - glad I found them - would hate to think what would happen if I broke a string. Plus, the bridge was stated as a 12" radius, but the bridge I got has a 14" radius. So... was thinking of trying a more standard Nashville bridge with nylon, graphtech, or tusq saddles type thing. I contacted Graphtech and they told me about their Resomax bridge with the strings savers and stated it should work well with a Bigsby. Just kind of wondering if anyone has used the Resomax bridges and what their experiences with them was.
Not trying to knock Tonepros here, they are supposed to be nice bridges, guess I got a bad one or something.

I'm not sure that the Graph Tech Saddles fit the stock Gibson intonation screws. They don't specify the thread -- - or they don't specify a lot of things.I thought about trying the StewMac Golden Age roller bridge with 12" radius, but not sure. A lot of people just go with the regular ole abr-1 or nashville bridge, but with the tusq and graphtec saddles available figure it couldn't hurt to use them.

Then just get nylon saddles. Any Gibson dealer should have some.I thought about getting just getting the nylon saddles. I'll probably just save some penny's and go for the Resomaz with string savers or possibly the ABM 2400n. The Golden Age roller bridge, the one with the 12" radius, looks good, but from reading the reviews the manufacturer's quality control may be a bit lax.
I do they are top notch bridges, I have two Godin guitars that come with them, experience with them is excellent, great sustain. They are well known for making a quality product. yes I would definitely recommend.
As the owner of several TonePros TOMs I will say that they are overrated in comparison to other aftermarket bridges. They are definitely better than a lousy Epiphone bridge but compared to a Gibson bridge they are like the same thing with little grub screws to keep the bridge and tailpiece from falling off when you change strings, and don't really lock solid
I tried one of the Resomax wraparounds on a PRS I used to have. I know its not the same thing as what you are looking at, but it was pretty cool. Mellowed the tone a bit, which I liked on that guitar. It didn't stay on the guitar long because it belonged to a friend and I was just trying it out - was nice but not a big enough improvement over the stock bridge to make me want to give my buddy a hundred buck for it, haha.
I don't think the bridge has anything to do with sustain.I do they are top notch bridges, I have two Godin guitars that come with them, experience with them is excellent, great sustain. They are well known for making a quality product. yes I would definitely recommend.
