This might get me to buy another Fender...

He mentions in the video that his #1 is a '61, so maybe you inspired him to get one!

I dig 'Blue On Black," but I haven't heard anything else by KWS that really "grabbed" me or shook me up, although he is indeed a super talent.

If I was gonna have a signature model anything, it would have to be truly unique, like something with a compound radius board, multiple pickup switching combinations, coil splitting and tapping and phase reversing options.

Seems really 'plain jane' for the dough????

You sure? 7.25" radius...mighty expensive compared to the last one they put out isn't it?

Yes, I actually have come to realize I prefer the 7.25 radius on a Fender, and I think the cost is quite justified considering the binding, inlays and chambering. Keeping in mind of course that this is only a couple hundred more than an American Professional Strat. I just really like the package/color/features. And although KWS could make anything sound great, in the video I am hearing exactly what I would want to hear from a Strat, which isn't always the case with the newer ones that always seem to have hot pickups.

I have had a love/hate relationship with Strats for the last 30 years but every once in a while I want that thing that only they do. Not rushing out to buy one but I do like it.

For the style of blues-rock I think he's one of the best ever. Obviously he prayed at the altar of SRV, etc. but he's got such an explosive style he ends up being his own thing.
If you really want to find out what he's capable of check out 'Live In Chicago'

I, myself, just picked up a NOS 2017 Fender Professional Strat by trading in a couple guitars. Fender's promo video for the 2017 Pro features KWS playing it and it sounds great. Not so much when I play it though!:D
He is definitely an amazing talent.
