High Gain Chug Testing

I pulled my Crate BFG412 home to set up my AmpClamp mic mounts and to do some testing. The Texas Heats by Eminence loaded in the cabs are really bright speakers so I had to adjust my amp and MXR EQ a bit to tame the high end fizz.

I did a recording and video of the testing. Enjoy, and by all means, leave some feedback. Good, bad, ugly, I welcome all of them.

Guess with a name like Ghostman, we kinda have a pretty good clue who is doing all that chuggin!!

Ghosty, I have a quad of Eminence Governors in a MDF Behringer cab. Any clue how they would compare to your Texas Heats?

I did find this clip after posting the above.

I'm not keen on most of Eminence speakers except the Texas Heats and the Crate factory units that came from them. I'm not a fan of the Crate factory speakers from Eminence but they were supposed to be close to the Celestion Vintage 30's. Yeah right. lol

I was actually thinking about keeping the quad of Governors to put into 2- 2x12 cabs. Also, was considering buying some other12 inchers I pick up on the cheap to load the cab with and sell it to someone looking for a decent cab as I build myself some exceptional smaller ones.

I think it sounds great, but that’s my type of tone to begin with.
Thanks for posting.
