TSL60 FX loop and channel switching delay

Thanks Mitch! this is out of my knowledge too. I'm electric boy not an electronic technician.

The parallel FX loop it's ok but on OD channels the volume works like a Master FX loop volume. You need play with OD channels volume at 10 to get a balance FX loop return level with the clean channel.

Ho sento, estic vinculat temporalment amb problemes d’habitatge. Estic veient l'esquema.

Sorry I'm tied up temporarily with housing issues. I am looking at the schematic.
Thanks for finding that schematic.
I'm moving all my stuff into storage at the moment. My landlord is selling her house and I'm trying to find a new place to live.
I will work on the TSL after I solve the housing...
But anyway, I think there must be something we can do with the loop on the TSL.

I hope you can solve your housing soon. Take your time on the TSL. I'm not hurry.
Thanks

Does it not revert to series when Mix knob set full? That is how the TSL100 works.
No, at max is like 40% wet, i've read that it is affected by the channel volume, maybe at 10 the mix is higher, but I have not tried yet. Anyways the tone it is affected horribly, a phase cancelation comb filter makes it completely useless. the weird thing is that if I bridge the loop is a usable boost without tone suck.

Hmmm. The TSL122 is series when mix full. Maybe turn channel up amd master vol down? I hate that phase stuff with loops.

Hi all!
Recently I bought a used cheap TSL60. It is the cheapest Marshall heads that I bought ever. The seller said It works perfectly but It is unused for 5 years. I took a chance and bought it. When It arrives I get really pissed off. I felt cheated. Take a look at the pictures. Burned and bridged HT fuse. Speaker output broken. Faulty on 6 pin Din connector from TSL footswitch. I fixed all. I replaced power tubes.View attachment 48852View attachment 48853

Now It runs ok but It has a delay when I'm switching channel clean to OD channels, just a few miliseconds but my TSL100 don't do It. Also when I switch off the reverb you can listen a little pop. I can live with that smalls issues.

The parallel FX loop it's strange. It has to much guitar signal from the amp. I can ajust It on my multieffects rack but If I use a looper It sounds weak and low.
Can I mod It to get a properly serial FX loop? Can I mod It to get more return signal?

Thanks in advance.
Don't try to repair the board...send it back as:"misrepresented." Fraud.
(you have been scammed)

The board contains multiple defects:
same as DSL50 and 100, the circuit tracks short to each other due to defective insulation of the circuit board.
The bias will fail and destroy the output tubes....over and over again.

A.The board can be replaced, but please don't waste any time or money trying to repair it.
B. The 2 bias adjust pots have to be replaced. I warned you.
C. The power transformer or output transformer may be fried (due to bypassing fuses...) you have to test and verify the transformers...
D. One speaker jack is probably fried, need to replace that.
E. Power switch is going to fail, have to replace that too.
F. Output tubes are fried, need a new set more likely.

In other words, it's not worth fixing. I tried to warn you.

Let it die peacefully, that we may meet again , in a better place.

I have read somewhere that the tsl60 doesn't have the bias drift problems like the tsl100 and I thought this is the same core issue from the pcb insulation problem. Anyway i bought it cheap mostly for the clean chanel, very good clean in my opinion. So you suggest to forget about mod it right? Sorry.. English language no es la meva llengua materna.

It's the same circuit board.

The 60 does NOT have the bias issues. I also have had zero issues with my 122.
