NGD: Epiphone SG Special P-90

Played for about 20 minutes with the amp on the dirt channel. Gain only up to about 4 and no hum from the P90's, but some nice mild grit.
Sounded pretty awesome, but it was hell getting the guitar in position. My shoulder just don't want to be moved, but picking only takes
from the elbow down...

I was going to use this as a beater and decorate it all up with stickers and $hit, make it punk, but it's to damn nice. I can't believe they can
put out this nice of a guitar for $399. It reminds me of the quality you get with the older Fender Classic Vibe and Vintage Modified Telecasters.

Looks really nice that SG, and I've always wondered about these, how nicely they play/sound 'cause they are good value.

Really nice. A few years back I would have broken the max $ barrier I have paid so far and got that, or (and?) the P90 TV Yellow LP special they have out now.

Still tempting on both, especially the SG.
I have been a bit hot and cold on the P90's lately.

Starting to come to the realization that although I bought the thing for lower-gain sounds it actually starts to shine when it gets gnarley. Like, really gnarly. Been playing today with fuzz and it sounds superb!

Mine excel at Stoner Doom stuff. Particularly the neck P90s while using a certain Treble Booster ;) in drop C#(or standard C#...or....who am I kidding....whatever tuning:)). The noise gate threshold has to go up though, with the fuzz n stuff.
