White Les Paul Studio for Sale

Agreed, unnecessarily bulky...
Despite the bridge, it has to be the coolest guitar on earth...I would go to bed with that stuff anytime.

You know, Howard Roberts told me that the biggest mistake was the stop tailpiece. He said the tone of the long tailpiece was much better.
And so Howard designed his own tailpiece, just for sound quality and tonal excellence.

Howard was a Beatnik. He was pretty cool I thought. He taught me some stuff.

And so, just to try his idea I put a long tailpiece on an Epiphone Les Paul. I was pretty surprised that it changed the way the guitar sounded quite a lot.
It seemed to increase the overtones and harmonics making the guitar sound (as he had said) quite a bit different.
Personally, I liked the change in tonal quality that it produced. Of course this is a matter of taste and is subjective.

You thought I was joking.
I wasn't joking, I really did it.

Philadelphia Luthier Tools Roller Bridge....
But is it spaced for a LP 50s neck? That is the issue string spacing.
The 50s neck is wider than the 60s saddles.
So I end up with 60s spacing on a 50s neck. I'm missing all that ebony real estate on the fingy board. And my big fat fingers (as big as Cuban cigars) want to land right there, where the strings are naught.
:BH:
Oh woe. Spacing related difficulty in this troubled modern world....what's a poor shrubber of limited means to do?

OK I see, I was wrong.
The fingerboard width at the nut is 42.85 MM, and the width at the end of the fingerboard is 57.4 MM.
This applies to all Les Pauls, no matter if they are 50s or 60s profile necks. (that's what I was wrong about) I mistakenly thought 50s profile had a wider fingerboard and it doesn't. I feel dumb now.
But the issue is string spacing: what is the spacing at the bridge, measured on center, between each 2 strings?
Because the issue I have now is that the spacing at the end of the fingerboard is too narrow. The strings don't fan out to the bridge properly. Instead the strings are too crowded together at the end of the fingerboard.
This might be because the bridge that's on there now is not a factory bridge. It's some type of substitute from Philadelphia Luthier's supply.

Of course Philadelphia Luthier's is going to be made in China, so I'm not surprised that the spacing is wrong...typical of those type suppliers to ignore details.

And so "if" you guys listed the specs (which you don't), such as: "spacing of string to string on center, at the saddles," then bridges could be compared for spacing accuracy.
You "do" list the high E to low E spacing, but not the individual string to string spacing.

Or we could determine if we need to order UN-notched saddles, and space the strings ourselves (if need be).
But I was hoping there was a bridge, with pre - notched saddles, that would space the strings properly for a Les Paul.
And as I just learned, the same spacing applies to all Les Pauls, no matter what era or neck profile.

I'm kind of surprised that there is a lack of published specifications for these bridges.
We are not getting all the measurements that we might need to know....to find the exact bridge.
There should be dimensional drawings on the website, so that all these questions can be answered.

2. There should be photos of all sides of the bridges, showing the intonation adjuster screws.
Instead what we see in photos is very limited.
