I had the amp shipped to my chum's repair shop, because someone is always there to receive shipments.

Cosmetically, the amp is perfect and still had the opaque, blue membrane on the front panel and the knobs...

Didn't know his ties with Silkyn. He did design a couple amps for Yamaha: T50C and the T100C. He was part owner and designer for Jet City amps, too.

I may have a schematic for the amp with his name on it. The entire story was in the huge thread on MLP started by Kevin Paul. I think that's
where many of us met KP, I know it's where I became friends with him.

Yup... . But the new Soldano's are now being built at Boutique Amp Distribution (B.A.D.) in Huntington Park, Crustyfornia. Definitely would like to see what the new stuff looks like inside.

Great Video! Makes me feel these are not actually "Boutique" though. A big assembly line for multiple companies.

Yes, there is a lot of hands on, but no brand loyalty. I'd rather see one brand being made in house like Mesa does.
