I am somewhat biased towards Marshall I suppose...perhaps because of the impact they had on me as a youth, not to mention my hot-rodded 2203/1990 live rig that was my mainstay for many years.

The Origin 50H is a simple platform that is a closer relative to my 2203 than my DSL40C 's are. It was within the budget too, which is important for me.

so we need to make a list of all the stuff to modify in the Origin 50 head....

1. Change input jack to real Cliff UK jack.
2. Change all other jacks to Cliff UK.
3. Change input coupling to reduce hiss. (design TBD)
4. Change all pots to long life type. Eliminate cheap flimsy pots completely.
5. Make bias adjustable. Possible install bias test points.
6. Make input output effects loop levels fully user adjustable. To match any effects unit including line / high level units.
6.(a) series parallel adjustable mix control for effects loop. (already has effects bypass on foot switch)
7. Outskirts of infinity mod for infinite sustain - implement somehow (TBD). Add foot switch for this possible (TBD)
8. DC heaters for first 2 preamp tubes (reduce buzzing and hum from filaments). Or other method.
9. Add Choke.
10. Install cabinet protective corners.
11. Add top vent to cabinet / increase cooling.

12. Make master volume for Boost mode only. Clean mode has no master volume. This is because Boost needs it's own solo loudness control.
13. Socket all ICs and relays on board for faster maintenance change out.

What are you going to add to that list?
Need to make this into a package.

You bet, I won't be able to tonight, but I will get one to you tomorrow

There are two ways to run that pedal, the traditional way out front, it also can be used in the effects loop as well.

I'll make a clip and explain each section.

It will be a Mp3 or a .wav file. No video capabilities.

New thread, clean amp, Origin dirt no pedals, Friedman in front and in the loop.

No reverb, delay, etc... Just guitar, pedal Marshall, 4x12 one speaker close miked, Greenback?

Unless anyone else needs to hear something else or different config?

I'll do some open chords bar chords, power chords, single note runs, should give a good representation of my little Origin, that thinks it's a Friedman monster.

And it’s not being a wuss , it’s just nerves, the first one I ever posted I felt like argh but then it becomes just like playing in front of people, nervous as hell, but then you just settle in for the ride.
No competition just good fun!!
I am looking forward to hearing your demo.
Hell it may light gas and have me succumb to a BE overdrive.

So, to keep weight to a minimum, I will be installing a pair of Neodymium lightweight speakers. I will be using my current Jensen Jet 100 Watt Neodymium 12" 16 Ohm speaker (97.3db) and a Celestion G12 Neo Creamback 12" 16 ohm Guitar Speaker (97db) both wired parallel to reduce impedance to 8 ohms.

The Jensen weighs 4.4 pounds and the Celestion weighs 4.2 pounds respectively.
