R.I.P. the Greatest Met

Although not a Mets fan, I join them in the mourning of Tom Seaver.

Tom Seaver has passed, one of the all time great pitchers- ballplayers.

In the words of Steve Miller "Time keeps on ticking....ticking away"

Heard that last night watching the Cubs/Pirates game. There was a tear or two for sure. One of the greats of my time watching baseball.

Growing up on Long Island , I certainly remember Tom Seaver. 1969 was the year of the Miracle Mets and Seaver was the Lead Dog.

I met Tom and many of the Mets when I was a kid. My Dad was the team doctor for a couple of years.
In '69 I got to fly down and visit him in Florida during Spring training. A pretty unforgettable experience.

Wow, that must have been just awesome!
I was lucky enough to meet Ed Kranpool & Jim McAndrews from the '69 team. What a thrill that is when you're a kid.
I still have the Jim McAndrews autographed baseball too!!
