Never Say Die! is a great album. I always scratch my head about why it and Technical Ecstasy are so maligned now. We sure didn't think any less of them at the time they were released...they were new Sabbath albums, and we loved them in real time. They are both great to me, and when you listen to the albums in sequence they make total evolutionary sense.

Standouts for me are Junior's Eyes, and Swingin' The Chain (shout out to Bill Ward, he nails the vocals on that song, and I bet you didn't think I would love a song that Ozzy didn't sing but I love the Dio albums too) off NSD and Back Street Kids and All Moving Parts (Stand Still) from TE.

Rock n Roll Doctor (May not be the correct name) is one my favorite songs on T-E .

Not too many that went very long. I mean, Zeppelin decided to disband rather than try to replace Bonham, not that we was replaceable but you know what I mean.
Even Rush started with Rutsey before the got The Professor, but you gotta give them props going 40 effing years with the new guy (RIP). Can't really think of many/any others off the top of my head other than The Cars and U2. Hell, even Aerosmith had the Rick Dufay/Jimmy Crespo era. But there have to be others I can't recall??

Right, that was the last (8th) album from the original lineup. Then Dio stepped in for Heaven And Hell. Then Bill left and they put out Mob Rules. Then Dio gone, then....
And they missed the golden, perfect opportunity to go out right and recorded "13" without Bill. As much as I love Sabbath this is still an unforgivable sin to me, to the point that I didn't go see the final tour.

Imagine the treats I had in the mid 2000's to see some of the best bands ever, even long after we all first heard em in their rough and tumble up and rising days.

I never would have ever imagined seeing a double bill of The Dixie Dregs paired with Dream Theater in a small 300 person venue,
or a Trio of bands at a similar club, That lineup was Molly Hatchet, Not Cactus. ( Found it, The Lizards, I remember the drummer speaking of his career and for years I tried to remember his name. Bobby Rondinelli ) and UFO as the headliner. Jason Bonham was playing with UFO at this time. July 8 2005, I found a link about this tour for UFO. Fund a 2nd link with info about the Show. Funny thing was there was no record of a July 8 2005 show for Molly Hatchet when I searched for archives of their dates. But here it is.

I hear ya loud an clear.
I got to see the original line up 2 times, the Dio era was great.
Because we also got RR and Ozzy, that eased my pain but it was never the same again
