Final piece f the puzzle. My oh my..how they put such a tight bottom end & such harmonically rich content for leads in 1 box like this !! I tried the heads, most versions of 5150 & 650 .paired w/ mesa cabs, marshall cabs, celestions, Emi's.. the combo all stock just seems to hit just right across the board. Even kept 3 Peavey 5150 speakers just in case. , they do tortured greenback so well, eq it right & they rip with this amp.

Set it up on the 80's Crate cab. Again, another amp that functions at gig level & super low. The presence & resonance along with the tone controls are very sensitive & reactive to each other. Super easy to tweak the amp. Also, run it master dimed & low gain or master down & gain up. 2 very dif amps with 3 levels of how hard to hit the power section. The Dean V with SD Screamin Demon perfect match..so much going on in the leads.. don't pinch harmonic much but its the easiest amp to get it. The low end is is thunderous but not flubby. Even at low level..what an enjoyment to have that full sound as you work parts out..then it still retains that character when you move the volume up. Final amp..room is set..kinda wild ride..what has come & gone. The variety in the amps & guitars was a journey of tone & learning that has lead to the music that is coming out of me.

Congratulations on your new amp
Cheers

Report on 2 hours play. What a lead amp..the tone in this thing is immediate & soaring..yet precise. The thump they are known for might be the 2nd best quality about this amp. The harmonics & pick attack is immediate..& very responsive. Super stoked to record this. DSL100h gets the song tomorrow called 'Your Love" ..character is examining relationships in decision phase..lets see what he thinks about love....here is the new corner set up

Real radical week , the DSL100h & 5150 really honed in what i play naturally, The 5150 is killer lead & brootz..but ..stunned ..just did a blues set with Dean ML with Dirty Fingers & possibly had the grittiest ..nastiest edge of breakup in the 5150 i ever experienced. Rythym channel pre on 3 with post on 3. the presence & resonance knobs are so precise for genre changes.

Just emailed my collector friend about selling my
68 Drip edge Bassman & matching 2x12 cab
Supro Black Magick
68 Bandmaster drip edge head
1973 fender Pro Reverb - weber f150's time to get back to making more music. Keeping the cherished Silverface Super Reverb & Super Six.

Thinking bout big block chevelle, in the rejuvenation phase currently, Crazy how life can back us down at times & we lose our selves. Put a number on my work calendar & when it is hit,,done..selling the companies..finito..over ..done, before i go insaner..no one is working like before the virus in our trade & we are hammered. Wife and i just counted back..not 1 meal or shower in last 10 days did i get through..lol..da phone ..da phone

Used to jam with a friend who played through a 5150 combo paired with a Dual Rectifier combo. Unbelievable tone but hard on the ears in a garage jam. Good thing we had a really loud drummer. Congrats on a great amp.

Very nice! I am beginning to think that you don't really grasp the concept of "final" though! Luckily, with gear it works out from a best
lol
the journey taught me so much..being side by side really allows the comparison to happen. The goal all along, was whatever fit in the space i have for recording & keeping the full size PA in the bandroom just in case. Wanted to cover from bassman/45 up through the 5150 basically in the progression of gain in the music i enjoy. Then have a wide variety of speakers to mic.

Way more into making music than the gear...having an explosion of new music lately. Easily in the 40's with full songs done this year already. Guess its live band substitution..tho, have been approached again about firing it all up again.. Not sure

When I was first learning how to play, my instructor owned his own guitar shop. When I was looking for a new amp, he had one of those in stock, and I was seriously interested in it. I had only been playing through a Bandit 112 at the time.

When I asked about it, he literally told me, "that's way too much amp for you right now." :ROFLMAO:

He was right. :D

That’s crazy, one of the guys I took lessons from, had a pedal going into a little fender, it cranked out excellent tones, I had to play through a clean little fender ????
But it did help in the long run.
I still can’t play very well, but I am getting better.
Cheers
Mitch
