Hi guys

I noticed i keep braking same string same place new set of strings. At first i thought it was doggy set but it keeps happening so im guessing something sharp on the bridge where string sits. I use old string to file it tiny bit as i dont have tools after that it still broke. I did some search and found that esp ltd bridges have this problem. Have to take it to tech and it will cost me at least £50 to properly set it up...:BH::BH::BH::BH:

I have been breaking D strings all my life, (sometimes the (A-E) all guitars makes no difference I break them.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a heavy right hand!!

I can understand heavy hand but in my case makes no sense, for exp i have lighter gage strings on jacksons both rr and v 9-42 i never broken A string since i play guitar. For me usually its high E as i do lot if bends and i love bending high E at 15 fret... but on my ltd i have 10-46 and i keep braking A string at the same place every time. Its getting very annoying.

I have guitar tech live near me he is best i had in all years ive been playing but he is damn expensive :) i guess i pay for his knowledge and skills...

Its like 5th set of strings i put on and bam after few hours it brakes

That sucks brother.
I probably have six sets of strings with no D string in them, the A strings are not far behind, lol

Either roller saddles or graph-tech saddles.
You need to go w/ a different shape and material.

I just broke the A string on my strat, so my string breaks are only on the E-A-D never break the skinny ones only the fat ones..
Cheers

Must be bad luck from me :(

@Amp Mad Scientist thenks for all the info, before i change bridge i try set it up properly with tech. I have not done it since i bought it its just how it came from shop because for some reason i dont play that guitar very often.

I haven't broken an Ernie Ball string in 15 years. I have had the wrap on the ball end of a high 'E' string "choke up" and keep slipping out of tune...but, I just kept tensioning it between songs and got through the set.

Not at all bro, it’s just those are the ones I break, I can go a good while and not break any, but I will eventually break them , gauge doesn’t seem to matter, whenever I have bought a new guitar, it’s not been able to be called mine till I break a string , then I restring it’s with 10-46’s and then it becomes mine.
Although I am yet to break a string with the 11-54’s set yet.
Thanks

Funny enough the set i bake are Ernie Ball 10-46, i think its problem at the saddle , ill take it to the tech his very good. I changed many sets ad its getting annoying and expensive.

I buy them from ebay ill be hones i have feeling they are fake strings. Need to buy frop music shop and see if it happens again.

I'll tell you what...The best thing you can do is get familiar with these kind of repairs. Once you do, you will find out you have been being overcharged for a very long time...
