Might have turned a corner to Explorers & V's...def for this next run. They fit me, even at 5'2" . The way the hand lands on the body puts you right at that spot n the bridge ofr the palm. Then the fretboard is very exposed at you for maximum access
 
did notice the way the neck meets the body..does put the fretboard , more up at you. thing is as big as me,,, pretty crazy sitting, the end of the body is like in the next room..watch the door jambs..whack..not that i would know that yet:victoire:

The '58 Flying V has a very interesting neck joint, where there is a little extension of the body under the heel of the neck. It's the only Gibson I know of that uses this style heel and joint. I made sure to recreate it when I made mine. Build number two is also getting the same style joint, and long tenon.
