Hey, Guys...
We are re-creating a collage-type Hendrix video for my cover of "Watchtower." I have a junk import neck with a broken truss rod, a bunch of bar magnet, import single coils that do not work and a crazy red splotchy tortoise shell GFS pick guard that is so ugly I have not been able to even give it away. What I need is a body and a bridge to create my prop for this video. I am not using ANYTHING that is useful. It's all basically junk that I have accumulated.
Here's the video we are going to base our production on:
This is the track we are using. It will be re-mastered and run through the BBE 482i Sonic maximizer before being used in the video, but here is the un-mastered version:
I'm looking forward to this project. I'm even considering putting a tablespoon of black powder on the pickguard so it will give a flash/smoke effect.
This is something really pivotal for me. I was mesmerized by Hendrix's performances as a kid, and recording his song "watchtower" was a lifetime achievement for me. Re-creating his video will be the final installment on my life-long dream of re-creating some of these famous scenes.
Thoughts???
