I think the Dean Headstock "works" with the "V" and or the ML models the best -- I agree it looks odd on the Cadilac or other models.

That's an odd one, and cool.

Two of my korinas are Explorers.

I can't decide in which direction I should go with a tail piece for mine. I do have a spare '60s Lyre vibrola, but then I was also thinking short style, maybe with an ebony block from Crazyparts.de, or even a Bigsby. But then with the nice grain and chevron pattern to the wood, I think the standard tailpiece would probably be perfect. Since I'm putting a Bigsby B-7 on the Korina V that I'm building (ala Lonnie Mack), I don't really need anything other than a stop tailpiece.

Did Epiphone really put this in production? I know the only Gibson Korina Explorer bass ever made was for Lonnie Mack's bass player back in '58.

Did you take a close look at the photos? Neck is nowhere near wide enough for the bridge spacing.
