Thanks Don, I hope so too. We have been needing to find something else at some point in the near future anyway, as we added another member to our family recently and this place is too small for us all.I really hope that this works out for the best for you. Maybe you’ll find a better place.

Well I just heard from the landlord again.
Now, instead of having until the end of August, we have until Oct 15, due to COVID and our governor extending the moratorium on evictions.
To be clear, we're not being booted for lack of payment or anything, just that the owner has a family member that is in dire need of a place to stay.
So anyway, we still gotta go, but oddly enough the COVID has bought us a little more time. I told her that I understand, and I will proceed as we had originally planned to do.
This is somewhat bittersweet, but I'll take what I can get.
They make better money than carpenter’s.I feel for you Brother.
My wife’s landlord called me on April 1 saying his wife had kicked him out and needed a place to stay.
We tried to find her a place by May 1 but couldn’t. Moved out by June 18.
Come to Texas and I’ll put you to work September 1.
Contract work at the WWTP.
Want to be an electrician?
They make better money than carpenter’s.
At least here in SoCal !!
Cheers

If I am on a prevailing wage job they pay me 63$ an hour, the sparkies are getting a couple of dollars more, but they cannot do anything till we frame the walls or put the roof structure together.Yeah?
I’m not sure what good carpenters/finishers make here.
I do know what I make has to be balanced with the risks inherent at the WWTP.
I imagine the cost of living in SoCal is higher than what it is here.
Side note. I loved San Diego. When I become king of the world I’m going to have a house by the beach, drink tequila and cerveza all day while eating fish tacos that I didn’t have to make.

I have always thought that Texas and CA where pretty close depending on what part your in.Holy cow man!
Crazy how the pay rate/cost of living is so vastly different.

Cali is in its own universe cost of living/pay wise. I'm just going to lay here in bed and rub my hair.

I have no benefit’s , and I am non union. I get it all.Not sure, I’m definitely not in the “in” crowd.
I have friends who make 45 an hour plus benefits at gonna-pop refineries.
Here i Washington ive made up to $80 an hour doing prevailing wage in HVAC. Its nice but the union guys treat non-union like poop. I have had to tell them that they apparently can't do the job I do so thats why I'm hereIf I am on a prevailing wage job they pay me 63$ an hour, the sparkies are getting a couple of dollars more, but they cannot do anything till we frame the walls or put the roof structure together.
The sad thing is I don’t always work on the schools, and college’s where we get that rate of pay. But sometimes I do .
Cheers
