Another Electric Bass Dulcimer

Seems like my aunts electric bass dulcimer that I built last month was a real hit with with her dulcimer group.

I got an order to build another one a couple weeks ago.
Though I was glad to get the order, I was cursing myself for not having kept notes & measurements from the first one.
But that one turned out well, so I figured I could pull it off again.
So I did, and here it is.
I sure wish I could take decent pictures...




It will soon be traveling to it's new home in the Bluegrass State.

And here's the first one.

Almost twins.

Well, the saddle is segmented into three sections, one for each string.

That has to count for something, right?

It's amazing how bass like the first one you showed me sounded like. They cool too...

No, I can't claim that one. I googled 3 pickup dulcimer & found it.
Pretty crazy though.
It proves there's more of us oddballs around than people may be aware of...
