The Muse I Adorn

I've been playing this for past couple of days. G&L Tribute Doheny with MFD (magnetized field design) pickups, PTB (passive treble and bass) tone circuit and dual Fulcrum tremolo. The pickups are versitile .. It dooms, it does surf and it does blues. I'm really enjoying this offset. I had a VM Jaguar for a while but couldn't play my type of music on it. I ended up selling it. That's not the case with this Doheny... I can have a practice session and play what I want on it and learn new wacky surf stuff.

That is a beauty! G&L does it right, and that guitar seems to have it all. Love the black inlays too!

Very good player, Ray. It's got a nice bite to it, and is a bit of a Tele Slayer with the right amp. Ebony fingerboard is super easy on the fingers. My only complaint would be where the cable plugs in. You can't hook your leg inside of the V to play sitting down unless it is unplugged.
 
you can beat a mugger to death with the T-60 and not lose tune--- the T40 can be used for useful home projects like lifting heavey objects via leverage -- holding down light objects like tarps....boats--- small ponys--- giraffes---etc.
Both (I am convinced) were design to keep shoulder surgeons and Chiropractors in business ;)

thanks yes the T-40 bass is AMAZINGLY heavy but also durable as a train rail --- they are made more like furniture than "fine instruments" n Like "music by TONKA"

and with all the quirky wiring and stuff they can make a BUNCH of varied tones .......happy to have them in my flock -- they have both been here 5 years or so now.....(thats long for Ferengi gear!)

I beating on the old BEATER-- G3 bass--- sporting (now) much lower action a straight neck polished and leveled frets

not sure WHY they added the 3rd pickup and LOST the badass GRABBER or RIPPER moniker.......but well its a GRABBER with 3 pups so there ya go "GRABBER" 3 ;)

its 70's Norlin to a fault ........but man it intonates-- plays and sounds great and with all its battle scars and dings I aint gotta worry about the dogs being round when I leave it on the stand :)
