i dont know-how popular is Donner Kebab is in US but here in UK its very popular specially after night out boozing, that meat is so baaaad for you and soooo messy but i love it lol i ussually ordel XL lol my belly is geeting very big eating all this fast food...

My Indian friend very recently turned me onto this dish.

I'd weigh 50 lbs. more if I knew that existed in my youth.

Delicious, like exotically spiced bbq, imo.

Wish it would become more popular here.

About an hour away from me is a bavarian villiage called Leavenworth...I bet I could find some doner kebab there.

Closest thing I've had is a gyro, which I liked, and of course, the shish kebab (which is not doner)

yes they are nice when its done right but if its done bad its lethal for your stomach lol my and my friend we go everynight to eat after work i want donner kebabs he want curry and we argue where to eat ))

I think part of my dissatisfaction was the shredded lettuce. I prefer my lettuce to be whole leaf.

OK, I went to fat burger tonite and ordered a XXL no lettuce no relish no mayo. Added chili with grilled and raw onions. I must admit that it was good! I just needed to have them make it my way.

funny been in traveling and or outside sales for the better part of 30 years.......my old business partner and I always said we should write a "BEST GAS STATION FOOD and where to get it" book (guess now it would be an AP)
but not the places you think of like Dinners at truck stops with REal kitchens -- like grease fryer and microwave-- roller dog grill -- 2:30 you skipped lunch because of the sales meeting and HAVE to drive 6 hours home ---Im STARVING--- GAS STATION food guide --
oddly in our many travels we sure found a few
