So I put my Variax Standard on the small adds see what’s out there. The Variax is a nice guitar, like new, case included. But I have a Variax 700 and for some reason didn’t bond with the new one :(

Some chap reached out and asked to do an exchange for his 2012 LP studio. I contacted my Gibson adviser Mr Ninja Kingsley, and he advised it was a coil tap model. And obviously said I should get it (but he is bias for Gibson’s GAS) Came with OHSC and paper work factory check list

Any how here some pics of it straight after getting it home. Will have a strum tonight

Could that be some kind of rosewood alternative fretboard material? 2012 was that era...it doesn’t look like baked maple though...

As far as specifications are concerned, the 2012 Studios feature granadillo fingerboards, modern weight-relieved bodies and push-pull coil splits on both humbucking pickups.
