They are very nice---
I still find the ROLAND MICRO cube to give a much richer and fuller sound than any of the other battery powered offerings.

at around 3 minutes in --- for both the two videos above--- you can "A-B" them -- and see what I am talking about.
the FLY sounds great -- but still thin and plastic and "toy" like compared to the Roland .....

sorry Norm -- Ive owned both .......the FLY "flipped" the Roland is still here ......

now to be fair the ROLAND will set you back .....
60.00 used on reverb -- less in pawn and CL deals
the blackstar fly on reverb......is .......er.....90.00...............ouch

Kind of agree. I gave my Fly away. Looking for a small, battery-powered amp to take its place but haven't decided yet. The Cube is nice, and I kinda liked the Katana one, but may give in to size and buy one of the Yamaha ones.

--- if-- (I always have a plan B and C -- sometimes D --- and there is ALWAYS ROOM FOR "F"-- but I digress) -- IF I am living in a van down by the river ---Id have a Micro Cube and Cube Bass amp --- and could noodle and busk -- from Dawn till Dusk ---happily
I need help....................

Well ya there is a difference the Blackstar has a 3 inch speaker and the cube has 6 inch or 8 speaker so Adrian for the size Blackstar is still the winner.;):)

If you want to compare apple for apple Vox Rhythm 5 Vs Cube that's a fair comparison, I agree the Cube sounds better than the Vox. But hey that Blackstar as far as i'm concerned beats everything in its class . ;)

I forgot to comment on the original post...I did try the Fly with my pedalboard a couple of times and it took the pedals just fine. A little raspy with a lot of OD or distortion but everything else worked great.

I have owned the Voxs as well.
not as FULL of tone and depth as the Roland--

I guess if the "class" is amps that fin in your gig bag then yes -- I agree the FLY is the best sounding of the mini toy amps

here it is VS its--- "class"-- and yep--- it wins I agree---

I do prefer the VOX AC1 Rhythm---for toy plastic amps-- because it has beats-- and is more funnerer ----
