Hey!

I think this is the first time I've ever been welcomed to a forum without first introducing myself. Very nice touch, thank you :)

I'm active on two guitar forums and actually didn't know about this place until yesterday when another member on one of those forums told me about it.

I could make this a long post but you'd get tired and quit reading so I'll keepi it short ;)

I play guitar, I started when I was 9 and quit when I was 19 only to restart again a few years ago. I still consider myself a beginner, when it comes to music I'm a slow learner. I play a lot though, almost every day and enjoy it, most of the time it's just me and a DAW or looper but sometimes I play with a band.

I have a couple of guitars and a few amps, some are keepers and some are in circulation. I like trying new guitars and about 95% of everything I buy is used. Very rarely do I buy with the intention of selling but want them to be keepers.

Cheers!

Hey @Astral Traveler ! I’m about ready to pass out now(3:32AM my time), but anyway....Welcome to The Tone Rooms! We like gear pic’s...new or used...doesn’t matter....so feel free to share, and we can all enjoy a bit of gear-porn...
Far be it from me to refuse gear pictures and you usually don't even have to ask twice :D

This is my no1, a 1977 Stratocaster. It's been loved a lot but it plays and sounds amazing. The neck is worn but it has new frets and is otherwise mostly original except for a pot.

This one I "built" (assembled rather) myself. I found the neck used on Reverb and fell in love woth the tiger striped maple, it even came with my favorite set of tuners. The body is a MIJ Hosco and came straight from the CNC router so it was pretty blocky and needed some sanding and shaping. I finished it in Sonic Blue and topped it off with two layers of wax, it's very smooth and warm to touch.

Then there's the Peavey Generation Series. I was really surprised by this thing, it's simply amazing.

There are two more but I kind of need some photos first ;)

Welcome to the looney bin. Most of us are house broken, but I do think we have a couple members who’s pets are better house broken than they are. We’ll let you figure out who. :pound-hand:

I’ll echo what others have said. Some nice looking guitars there.

One of my grandma’s was a first generation American. She was born in the States not long after her family packed up and moved from Sweden to the US. That said. There’s nothing you can say that will convince me lutefisk is good food. Apparently just not enough Swede in my blood.

Thank you all!

Welcome to the community.
I love that flamed neck.

Thanks. That neck is what initiated the build.

Haha, thanks! Lutefisk is great! Wait until you try Surströmming, fermented herring... I have family in the US, relatives from my grandfather sister who emigrated in 1913. Most of them live in Wisconsin and Florida now.

Oh no! Astral Traveler owns a Peavey! eSGEe is probably shedding some tears of joy, while Session 5 is shedding tears of sadness because he might not have a Godin yet...

Nice guitars, AT! Really digging the Sonic Blue with those Lipsticks. Welcome to TTR...
Haha! The Peavey is an amazing guitar, I csn't believe they are so underrated. Good for me though!
