Remember the old Sinclair gas stations?
Sure do. Not too many in my part of the US, but as a kid on westward vacations with my parents. Saw plenty of them.
If memory serves. We would see the first on the east side of Iowa off I80 not too long after crossing the Mississippi River.

Before Mrs. Iblive and I moved to NE Illinois in 2002, our formative years were spent about 30 miles south of the Quad Cities.
Literally down the street. Live in Fox Lake. Work at Larsen’s Marine there in Waukegan harbor. Small world.
