Now that said I do like trying different things -- and I will most certainly TRY other cheap amps-- and sell/trade them off to try other amps-- no doubt-- but the Kemper is a level I have no desire to
1. pay for
2 figure out how to use
3 or attempt o flip----
and can you imagine the amount of SOLDERING INSIDE ONE OF THOSE?!?!?!?!? -- do they real have pixie dust and unicorn farts in them???? How does that get contained safely???

that said if I find one at a garage sale for 200.00 youc an DAMN SURE BET ILL BUY IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! buwahahahahahah and flip it within 48 hours ;) for $$$$$$$$$$$$

They hold their value and the one I bought and sold I made some money on.

They take about 10 minutes to figure out good enough to play through and sound great.

See above for flipping...

You may be honest in your ability, but yet you (and me) buy things that are beyond it. And that's cool because getting new things is fun!

on the opening of the video------ and then 16 minutes in you can A/B a VOX ac30 and a Vox VTX40
2,000.00 amp vs a 250.00 amp

yes-- I have learned many things about many things -- that nets me ZERO $ -- but -- its for the Children I pass on this knowledge :)

who started this stupid ass thread anyway

BUY WHAT YOU LIKE -- "F" the rest :) --- lol

While I understand many of these items and platforms become obsolete I also know that the Kemper and the Helix have no need for a computer
to continue operation. You can make and load profiles right from the front of the unit. Once the profiles are loaded you have them for as long
as the unit continues to work.

All functions of the unit can be done with the buttons and knobs on the front panel. So I see no real worry about obsolescence, planned or otherwise...

neither do the Mustang series amps--- VoxVT and VTx series or the Fender Super Champ---they stand alone and function--- its only if you want all the "extra" stuff do you need the ap-software-interface- wizardry

I understand that, I had the Fender Super Champ head you are speaking of. But, the Kemper and Helix are fully functional with all the bells and whistles without a computer interface.

I can still access my Fuse and all of the tones I have already downloaded. I have way more preset tones than I even use. Perhaps we can make a central repository to share? Anyone interested? I have 90 of them.

That would be groovy as crap Grant.
I dont have the computer I downloaded fuse on originally-- so -- all that is GONE :(

How are you able to access the software? (or do I want to know????)

Well perhaps I can find the Fuse software and upload that too. I'll figure something out, get it uploaded and link y'all to it.
