I would ask for a B-stock discount on the scratches.
The mis alignment of the pick up poles and strings needs investigating.
Thats substantially out of line.
Enough headache to warrant a return to me, unless it is the photo or a simple fix.

See, the whole problem is a Tele with a HB bridge pick up.
Just kidding, not my thing.
Good luck with it either way i really dig my SX Tele.

That's not a bad observation. Since a Tele bridge pickup is angled, like a Strat, an angled single-coil in the bridge may center the pole pieces under the strings better.

That would be a big issue with me. I'm guessing they want it returned because it may be a bigger issue than you can tell.
No company should want bad examples of their guitars on the street...

Agreed. It was rather noble of them. Ultimately, they offered to give me a discount AND keep the claim open if it gets worse. That is above and beyond. I sent it back however.

Man I have been busy as all get out lately with work. Changing out all our equipment to new faster stuff at the moment and firing & hiring and training.


On an interesting note. The GF of the guy I got that SG from contacted me recently wanting to get the SG back and the PUPS. I mean I had the guitar for almost 2 years and out of the blue I get an e-mail,gave all the info I had on where the guitar went & what transformations it went thru
