Guitars and BEER!

First time in ages for me to be in a hotel for the week, so I brought my mongrel Burny up to Bangor, ME. Enjoying some nice G-String Pale Ale from the Funky Bow Brewery in Lyman, ME while here “Down East.” Gonna try to take a cruise by Stephen King’s house tomorrow. Been meaning to do it for ages.

Bareksten is a local world class distiller. He makes superb gin and aquvit, among other things. We cooperate with him in making premixed cocktails. Really nice stuff. Check it iut here: The Spirit of Bareksten | Bareksten Spirits
His gin, Bareksten Botanical Gin is sold world wide. You’ll even find it in Caesar’s Palace in Ls Vegas.:)

I wish I liked pale ales since that is about 95% of my choices in my grocery store. They have lots of good independent brews but almost all are a pale of some sort. Just not into that super hoppy thing.

When I can't find a decent German or Czech Pilsener, or Harpoon IPA (more like Bass Ale), then I'll go for a Pale Ale. It seems like 99.9% of the current microbrew IPAs are like drinking hoppy tasting bongwater. Unless they are citrusy, then they just taste like bogwater with a slice of orange.

Spending some quality time with my long time buddy, ol' red...and a bottle of Yuengling trad lager. Good times!

I've always fancied trying one of those LTD SGs (viper and similar versions). I should imagine they're really good value.

I've been into the Belgian beers for quite a long time Duval being my favorite!

Belgian beers are great. You should try Le Chouffe - it's absolutely outstanding, head and shoulders over Duval (which I also really like).

Greg get that beer off of that BBEEAutiful guitar immediately, that's an order!!
Sadly and not too long after that pic was taken, the handle of that beer glass broke off when I accidentally tipped it over in the kitchen sink while trying to wash out the glass. I still cant find an exact replacement for it...

Didn't care too much for the Elysian Space Dust either!

This LTD Viper (FM100), was a gift from my wife. Got it and ohsc for $250. Decided the pickups were way too hot for me, so I went through a number of pickup sets before I installed the GFS Kwickplug alnico II classics. Had the hardest time bonding with the bridge pup, but some fiddling with pickup height and polepiece stagger got me where I needed to be. Also gave the old rascal all new hardware as a reward for putting up with me. Lol. This is my all-time favorite guitar.
