Both classy. Black is iconic. I don't like 'em as much in Alpine white but I love 'em in cream.

I've owned 2, both '77's. The first one was my first good guitar and I had it for many years. That one was the cream color from the start, it was never a yellowed white (you could easily tell from looking in the cavities, but either way I got it new and know what color it was on day one). The second one was a yellowed Alpine White one that actually looked very much like the first but a bit more amber-ish. The cream color (I actually think it said "blonde" on the tag when I got the guitar) remains my all-time favorite color for a LPC, current Silverburst notwithstanding.

Yea, I like when the yellow a bit, but that will never happen with a poly finish...

So...went to Guitar Center and they had the Black 2020 Epiphone Les Paul Custom.

I played it for a while and the youngsters wondered what "The Blues" were.

It was nice and I may get one, but it will be White. I didn't love the Black. Shows to much
swirls and hand prints and such...

Oh crap! I just realized I forgot to rub germ killer all over it first...oh well.
