Think Gibson USA QC Has Improved...

here is some fibson..chibson..sumthon's lol...

the Orville is crazy good...ya know it when you hold it..the other 2...they going know where..they are a specific spot in my lineup for the tone...the Edwards(ESP) got laquer & jb/59 , a/b with my 98 490/498...very similar in a way but lil dif tone..real good together L/R in mix..just that lil bit dif speads the sounds..but they line up real close(talking sound--finish..i take the Gibson on this battle.) The Burny..what a freaken weirdo gem.. got it..has the plastic on the body..all them years..took awhile to get it cleaned off..but the body & grain on this thing is off the charts.owner put the SD P rail & carvin j22..have no clue but darn it sounds good)

seriously have took a step back..feel fortunate what guitars i have...but each day..whatever guitar fits the song..it gets it..but honestly ..there is a psychological thing that goes on..my brain instinctively..starts with most expensive one..thinking it naturally will sound better...not the case...it can be, sure ..for the song if it fits..but money & where its made..moot points to me anymore...don't think i am any further from the first day i switched to guitar as far of guitars mattering..the Bug V22 & Peavey VK2-homemade cabs & 3 Epi's..it was always about what music could come out of em..if i believe in my guitar..the music shows...loyalty gone..except to task at hand

And I didn’t buy them as an investment, I bought them to play, and that is what happens to them.

I've had more than I can remember, new and used (mostly new). I've been buying Gibsons for 40 years. The only thing I would cite as an "issue" in all of that was a poorly matched maple cap on a 2000 Les Paul Standard, and shame on me for not noticing it before leaving the store with the guitar.
 
Sadly, I didnt get my first LP till 2017. Now have 3 including a Custom Shop plus a 335 and Lzzy Hale Explorer. All brand new. No issues with any of them. Seem very well made, play amd sound great!
Temperature differences do affect tuning.
I also have some Asian made Ibanez Prestige and Artist. Etc. Anythingnthat rwally doesn't play well woild be gone.
Incidentally, I also have a 1975 L6-S that is bulletproof jn terms of tuning. Fast neck, sweet axe. Love that design! Wjatever works, play it. If you find crap quality, return it and buy something else. Name on headstock meams not much to me!
Plus, much to the delight of @Session 5 I alos just got a new Godin. Thread to come shortly!
