Would you buy this Squire?

I wouldn't, but I really like it... 3 colours available, US$450 or so.

I'm not sure if they are available in the USofA, but a few are available in the UK and Europe. You can buy them here easily:

I wouldn't buy one because there are a few bad reviews out there, especially regarding build quality (the Classic Vibes which are now made in Indonesia don't have the stella reputation that the Chinese made ones do/did). &, I really don't like buying guitars online.

But, I really hope a few make it to Korea, so I can try one out - an esquire, who wouldn't want one?

Just messing around on Youtube, and it seemed pretty clear and obvious to me which were the two Squires. The sounds were distinctly average, and the bridges were horrible.

Never got on with tele's..been through quite a few..until the Peavey Reactor showed up..now it's #1 in the song writing guitar. Which is like blasphemy in this house.

Maybe the poplar body & neck match up well to my ear..but the pickups...seem to be spot on for the guitar. Always had trouble with ice-pick sounds ,this cured it. have a Fender on the way..maybe i finally eased into a Tele,,especially like how so many sounds are available just picking in dif spots on the guitar. Only thing that got me on Squires, some of the ones experienced, how thin some of the necks where..super thin necks.Almost to where your fingers are very close & stumble..not sure...

if it sounds good..it is good tho..no matter who makes it

I have to tell you I like the Tele in the first video. I have not seen one here like that to try out. $450 doesn't sound bad for the guitar, I would definitely take a look at one. I once owned a Squire Affinity Strat , was a great guitar for the money, at the time cost was $250 made in Indonesia there wasn't another Brand out there in that price range at the time that was as good of quality of the Squire.

Lots of them available in Korea, t'is true, but you haven't been using that pink SG recently...

Another guitar? How many do you want??? I will buy a Peavey the day eESGe pays full retail for a Gibson. :D
yeah..have a song that needs it... move em out when its time..keep a core batch..i get to play all day pretty much. They get used..if i dont use one in the reg cycle of recording..they go..can only fit 21 out in my room..so thats the magick number...no case queens in this arsenal..

Peavey..you just might be stunned...the pickups are very good..i buy guitars based on individuual tone ..for what they do in a mix..not to emulate anything or anyone...there is a certain mid to upper mid clarity in both i have(3 of last 4 songs where all peavey..there is a real live capture to judge..not 1 thing touched on the guitars....no nothing,,,no compression anything on it).. always wanted a strat that had a lil more oomph but do not like fender;s humbucker offerings..love their SSS -killer guitar...the Reactor..the pickups..same thing..a clarity that the many fender's i had ..just didn't have..did not like the tele's in the marshall's at all...the peavey just fits..most of this got revealed to me..when i stopped reading crap & put them under the mic..that's the truth..

freedom comes when the wallet..the eyes & the internet is removed from the guitar search process & you plug into your amp & play your music...

The CV Bass VI is $499, but a used MIM Bass VI is usually about double that. Makes sense for some models. Plus if you go used CV, you can get one for about $350.

There are many professional players that opt for Squiers when a comprable Fender is not available.

Well, we were speaking specifically about that Tele/model, so the bass comparison is a bit of a non-sequitur. For $450 that is a terrible buy considering what's available for that kind of money: I can go out and get a Standard Telecaster in great condition for less than that all day long, at a dozen different shops.

Besides, MIM necks are made in Cali with the MIA necks and shipped across the border. This would tend to make one think that the MIC necks are better than an American Standard.

In my experience the Classic Vibe models are a very nice guitar. However I don't care for Telecasters or Single Pickups so I would not buy one.

I also think the price is too high seeing as how it has less electronics...and what's the point of the 3 Way Switch on a single pickup single coil guitar???
