Not new, but being relocated. This is my second haul of gear up the mountain to the new pl;ace. Doing another load tomorrow which will get all the guitars up here. Not sure if I can get all the amps in that trip but I'll be doing another run on Tuesday. That's the big move day with 3 trucks from North American loading up the old house and driving it up here on Wednesday (weather permitting). Whew, I've been busier since I retired then I ever was while working. Will be elated on 3/17, as escrow closes on 3/16 and cash is in the bank on 3/17. We'll be full time residents of Lake Arrowhead, CA

Then I can start on the mancave...

And then arriving at their new home.

The 1400 sq ft of hardwood floor gets done today. Am also having a 200 sq ft slab poured today that’s under the build up area for long term storage.

THEN, this evening I drive back to the old house and tomorrow three 36ft moving trucks show up to empty the house. I then drive back to the new place after they load and they show up on Wednesday at the new place to unload. Whew, Im tired just thinking about it. Time for more coffee.

And, it’s gonna be raining Tuesday and Wednesday, just to make it interesting.

The new move will keep you busy Don O, the beauty is you will soon be retired and you will be able to work on your projects. Good luck on the move.

Well the good news is I am retired, last day was 1/31/20. The bad news is I have been busier now that I’m retired then I ever was while working. That’s soon to change next week.

This looks like a really cool new place! To be able to build a Man Cave from the ground up...WoW!

How many guitars by the way???

Every retiree I know , including myself will tell you, I don't know how I ever had time to work. But one thing for sure its all good stuff now..

The wife is going to be able to count them all now, they are all in one place.

52

I was around 22 of them when I stumbled on to TRR in Feb 2018. You guys (and gals) sure pass around a lot of GAS. :run:

52!!! I never reached over 30 at my height of guitar madness! I'm down under 10 or close to it now and just as happy.

There were just too many sitting neglected in the cases and I have no room to display 30...let alone 52!

Congrats on a great stable! You can always open a guitar store now that you're retired...or a recording studio???

That was roughly my biggest number too (30). I actually went down to 2 at one point but that just felt uncomfortable. I'm at 8 now, 7 electrics and 1 acoustic, and it feels like a sweet spot.

I am at 4 now mind you they get lots of love, I find playing and maintaining four is plenty.

The plan is to hang everyone of them in the studio, so I can grab which ever strikes the moment. In this current house I could only get about half out sitting around.

And not to sound over the top, I have 4 Warmoth bodies and neck projects I put on hold when we bought the new place. All the parts are in boxes, won’t be getting around to them for a while. But, that’s what retirement is going to be for me, one project after another.
