Favourite OD to goose your favourite amp?

SG John ive had this one for about 4years. bought it new. built like a tank.

Sorry for slow reply. I grabbed mine about fifteen years ago. A friend of mine was moving to England and selling off gear. He said "You need this, pay me when you can." It was made in the '90s, and opened up a can of worms with high end pedals for me. I can't find much info on it, other than being Fulltone's hat in the ring for Fuzz-Face clones. Mine has a very low three digit serial number, and looks like this.

How about a gut-shot of this bad boy... :fingersx:

I just received a Fulltone pedal, and am very impressed with its quality of manufacture. I really like how they've used small hand-turn screws (maybe not a technical description... :D) on the sides, so that opening the pedal is very easy. Came with a battery (many don't), and is just manufactured really well.

For the price, it's good value, imho - half the price of many boutique OD pedals.

Congrats on what should be a killer OD pedal.... And it even comes with a hairy input...

Is this the brand new version? V.2 or something?

^ despite modern advances, I still appreciate a traditional hairy input...

Yes, that's the one. There are two main reasons I went for this: 1) when I had the Marshall Origin 20, this pedal type sounded great; 2) I'm crap at dialling pedals in (finally let that Katzinkonig go out of frustration), and the OCD just works with any (most?) amps on most settings - easy, even for me.

I have two more goosing pedals coming (one is a pure treble booster, one is a treble booster and boost dual circuit), and my new amp still hasn't cleared Korean customs... I'm gonna let them all fly at the same time then do a review/NstuffD thread.

Ok I am getting no audio.

That's because it's just a picture! :D

I A/B'd the pedal, at home, at leisure, against my TS808 and DOD compressor - they were identical. The TS808 and the Xtomp were 100% identical through my Marshall Origin 20. It's the first digital effector that I've owned which actually sounds as good as (some of) the sounds it emulates.

I had a Joyo Sweet Baby OD and a Mad Professor Sweet Honey OD at the same time too. The Joyo was 90% there, sounded good (not as good or even nearly as good) and fell apart quickly; cheaply made, crap switch. The sound was decent, but I wouldn't buy another Joyo pedal from that range.

(I've had a couple of Mad Professor pedals, and I really like them a lot.)

The Hotone Xtomp (mini) surprised me with how good it sounded; it's the first pedal of its type I've owned which I liked (I've had a few Digitech and other which did nothing at all for me). But, it broke within a week... I've just got another because I find them a really good way of trying out pedals that I may buy later, see if I like them, see if they work with my amp, etc.
