FLOYD FRX vs Stetsbar?????

Screws right out. It has a setscrew in the center that acts as the stud..,

I put an o ring over the stud so the bar can pivot a bit without slop.
Cool that it's easy peasy. Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking about a third Les Trem but now I'll be thinking about a Stetsbar instead.

I’m thinking about the FRX for my LP Studio.

But, Dude...that’s a huge piece of hardware
It sure is. On the right guitar it might look okay but there's also the extra weight to consider...

I just don't like wiggle sticks on guitars that were not designed for them.
I love the functionality, just not crazy about the look of 'em. Nor Bigsbys, for that matter.
Especially don't like the clunky-machinery look on a Les Paul. But on a Firebird or something similarly unconventional I don't think it'd bother me as much.

Do you need to remove the bridge posts when attaching it? That's easy with a Nashville bridge, but a little more trouble with the classic ABR-1.
Also, will it fit well in a Gibson hard case? Does it swing out of the way enough, or pop out easily?
Yes. ABR studs would have to come out. I unscrew the bar to case both of mine. It’s fairly hassle free To remove/replace the bar.

The two I have came with a very similar O-ring. Works wonderfully.

Honestly, I really like having mine where they are. The Stetsbar looks especially at home on my V, to my eyes. I could imagine one on a Firebird. I like it fine on my small guard SG. not sure how I feel about the look on a Les Paul with a flamey, arched top.

I never had Stetsbar at all ... The only tremolo units I have had have been Floyds on my Schecter Stiletto 6-FR. First the crappy stock licensed FR, then two months later the wonderful Gotoh GE1996T
Apologies sir! I honestly thought that you had tried one on your Explorer. My bad.

It must have been someone else. I might have mentioned that I saw an Explorer with a gold Stetsbar at a gig, which did happen
