I didn’t pay much more than that for real Gretsch High Sensitivity Filtertron pickups.

And, I can sleep well at night knowing they weren’t made in a Chinese factory by an eight year old girl with a gun to her head.

I like affordable, but also refuse to buy from certain sources. Too many years in the machine tool industry to change now.
 
Im not sure where Gretsch is having the one i put in my JR made.Isnt Fender the parent company of Gretsch now ? But it is one of there Filtertron Gretsch reissues with the A2 Magnets. Its a great pup and i would not touch it in there.I wont even swap it out to try a TV Jones pup its that good.

I get it-- and agree however,
do any of us really know (anymore) where any of the things we consume are made---do some research on the food in restaurants -- and even your "local" grocer---(not just the meat --which is from China- Mexico--etc) veggies-- seafood and not just the "prepackaged" kind either----you wont sleep again at night soundly after that I tell you.
