This is a collectible Fender '57 Stratocaster made in USA year 1982. This was also the era where these were still made in the Fullerton factory. This guitar is very clean for it's age. It is NOT new in condition, used but it's clean.

What a nice investment it turned out to be. What made you buy this one in 2008? Any original Case Candy still hanging around?

That Strat is sweet. I've always loved the two tone sunburst finishes on Strats.

I wish that I was better at picking certain guitars back when they were very modestly priced. My best score in the late eighties was my '76 Bicentennial Firebird for $300.00. I got some other nice Gibsons in the $200.00 - $575.00 range, but bought late sixties SGs over early sixties because of the stronger neck joint because I was gigging frequently. Had I known the difference in value was going to be $10K for an extra $100.00 spent at the time, I would have. Oh well.

I got that guitar as a stage thrasher. I had no clue it was collectable until yesterday.

G'damn, I think I just soiled myself. That is just stunning (and I wanted one so bad when they were released).
