In my mind, it’s because the NFL has become a loping behemoth. The XFL is more nimble with more interesting scoring and gameplay.

Oh, and the other reason is that, if it’s successful, Vince McMahon will make a ton of money!

Personally, I actually like it better.

If an XFL and an NFL broadcast were on at the same time, I’d watch the XFL.

What makes this time around different is that they spent a lot of time talking to fans and others to identify things that people didn’t like.

Then, they changed certain rules and gameplay features, as well as how the games are televised.

In a sense, the game isn’t the same as what the NFL plays. The XFL version is more interesting and strategic.
