Well, I can still read one. Svetlana EL34 set. They are easily twice the weight of a new Mullard EL34 I have and a JJ E34L. I need a pair for an upcoming project. The Mullard pair I have is a new matched pair. The JJs worked fine when I pulled them out of service, but one has discolored paint and I don't want to go there. The Svetlanas are used, look good and worked fine when I pulled them out.

Would you go with the new Mullards or give the Svetlanas a whirl?

So these are the Winged Cs I have heard about. They really seem quite a bit more substantial than the others I have. I think I will go with those. I have Mullards in just about everything else anyway.

Bartholomew?
No, no no. Those are the band members names when the album "Mitch's Garage" comes out.

The holy grail of EL34's My Green Hornet amp loves them

Nice, really nice. KT77's are getting scarce, & expensive. I gave serious thought to getting a NOS/NIB duet of Genalex Gold Lion KT77's (made by the M O Valve Company) for my JTM50 build. I ended up getting a NOS/NIB matching date code duet of (Miniwatt branded) Blackburn Mullard xf2 EL34's for less than half the price of the KT77's.
Damn, Mr Plexi, now you've got me thinking of the KT77's again (they're still available). Cheers
Edit: The "M O" part of the MO valve company stood for Mullard Osram. They were part of the General Electric Company, or "GEC". Cheers
