Gahr's fault.

That lovely Fender Twin that Gahr sold off... I thought it might come back to him as gear tends to do (or, can do from time to time, especially in smaller communities). I hope it comes back to Gahr because it's part of his musical being.

So, responding to his thread, I mentioned that he might wanna let the buyer know that he'll buy the amp back if it's ever up for sale. I reflected and sent an email to the guy I sold my junior to. &, the bastard had it up for sale! He's on holiday now, but in a few weeks time that junior is coming home. &, I'm really looking forward to it.

It'll be a lot of fun for me to compare it directly with the SG Special. &, then I need to look for a '67 style standard to complete the trio. I'm thinking that even a 2019 standard would do the job (with a few small changes) or I could look for a cheap "player" level original.

Very cool!

Sure you want a ‘67 style? I mean, neirher the Junior nor the Special has a batwing. Wouldn’t a ‘61-65 be more «correct»?

Why did Mr bastard have it on sale?

Did he mess with it at all? Be careful cuz he might have explored some junk-rubbing on it!

I've always liked batwing SGs, so a batwing standard (2016 or 2019 or any) would do the job. Maybe a different colour too; I've seen Pelham Blue standards with batwings for example. But. I'll kepp hold of the junior, no reason to sell it - dumb move on my part.

He's a strange fellow, I think he has the bug even worse than most of us, he moves gear in and out like nobody's business (usually to turn a quick profit...); he told me that junior was the best guitar he'd ever played and he'd never sell it. Now, he has a V which is the best guitar he has ever played and will never sell it. I don't think he altered anything, but I'll give it a thorough check.
