USA MADE EPIPHONES?!?!?!

I worry about the prices. The inspired by Gibson '61 (ok 63/64...), LP sp and SG sp look like they could turn out to be nice guitars, but at what price?

It sold a while back, so not available now, but this was $400 new about a year ago:

^ it's a lovely guitar. So, how much will they sell the inspired by Gibson version (below centre) for?

It's no better than the Pelham Blue guitar above, very similar, so should it have a similar price? Maybe $550 would be ok, but what if they are $700+ (which wouldn't surprise me)? What if they add a case and charge $850+ would people buy them?

That's a significant aspect JG - at what point do they compete against Gibsons.

The often mentioned Gibson "value" guitar is a secondhand SG faded for $600 which are pretty easy to get in the US in as new condition. Every year Gibsons sell their guitars at a discount for the new range - ok, they've tried to stop this via the collections with no year model, but shops still have 2017s, 2018s and 2019s at lower prices.

Here's one, new, at around US$710:

Maybe the days of blowout good value Gibsons are over? Maybe their new strategy is to push Gibson prices up above these $600, 700, 800 price range and fill that with Epiphones made in China at larger profits instead?

The EPI p90 sg - The ones they made before were the '61SG.
I want one.

and value Gibson - this is current. Man I been giving it some thought.
I always figured my first Gibson would probably be a used SG special in the $500-600 range.
Hard to beat new for a little more, no binding and - no nibs! $750.

I like the walnut too.
