Thanks.
The bass is a '78 Rickenbacker 4001 going direct to tape, along with a GK head and a Peavey head plugged into aa couple of different cabs, mic'd and to tape.
Most of the main guitar parts were my '69 SG Standard into a JTM 45 and SIlver Jubilee 4 x 12. We used an ancient ribbon mic going to tape.
Drums were an ancient Slingerland set that was the house kit.
We recorded the basic tracks live in a large room that was an old Speakeasy in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. George Thorogood recorded his first album with Rounder Records in that room. The place itself has a very sordid history. Everything was nailed in the first or second take. Even the solos were done live, as we would play them out. Then rhythm tracks were doubled, rhythm guitar behind the solos, and I hid some Rick 12 string in the back. Jetway Honey was recorded with a Strat. That was only song that was different.
